Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)
Why learn MySQL?
MySQL is in widespread use on the web. Almost every ISP (Internet Service Provider) offers MySQL as part of their web package. Just search jobs requiring MySQL experience and you will understand why it is an important technology to have experience in.
How long will it take me to complete the course?
The answer to this question will depend on your experience. If you already have a good understanding of another version of SQL (SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, etc...) then you should be able to work through all the lessons and complete all the hands-on exercises in twenty five hours or less. If you are new to SQL you could easily spend 60-80 hours on this course.
Why charge for the exercise solutions?
i wanted to create a scenario where I could offer this course to the widest audience possible. It takes a lot of time and effort to create a course like this. I have over three hundred hours of my time invested in the development of this course. Selling the solutions to the hands-on exercises for this course for forty dollars is frankly a bargain. You will spend a few thousand dollars to take a course on MySQL from Oracle and will not come close to getting the depth of subject matter that I cover in this course.
Is is possible to get one on one help taking this course?
I am contemplating the practicality of doing this and what the pricing structure would be.
You mention in the course a final exam. Where is it?
It is not yet available. I have not yet set a timeline for when it will be available.
